Highlight your thesis statement. Does it match the prompt? Does it show a deep understanding of the character? Is it precise, succint, and sophisticated?
Highlight the topic sentences in your body paragraphs. Do they showcase your own ideas and writing technique (your own words)? Does each one support your thesis statement?
Underline your CD sentences. Are they embedded? Did you use signal phrases? Did you choose the best text evidence to clearly demonstrate your point?
Bracket [ ] your CM sentences. Did you provide thorough explanation of the significance or meaning of each piece of text evidence? With your commentary, did you tightly connect all text evidence to your point of each paragraph and your overall thesis statement?

Work on revising your essay. These should be neatly typed and posted on your blog. Resubmission deadline is Wednesday, November 8, at midnight.
